Searching for oil and gas in Southern Jutland

the Polish Oil and Gas Company has aquiring seismic data in the eastern part of licence 1/05.

As operator for licence 1/05, the Polish Oil and Gas Company SA - PGNiG - has finished a 2D and 3D seismic survey in the eastern area of licence area 1/05.

The Polish oil company, PGNiG and the Danish North Sea Fund has explored the subsoil in an area south-east of Aabenraa by aquiring 2D and 3D seismic data. The partnership is now awaiting the processing and interpretation of the data. The subsoil of this area contains carbonate structures that may hold deposits of oil and gas. PGNiG is very experienced in exploring for and producing oil and gas from similar structures in Poland.
